Terms of Service

Effective date: [to be confirmed]

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Additiv3 website, submitting a CAD file for a quote, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

2. The Service

Additiv3 provides 3D printing and additive manufacturing services, including instant online estimates, design review, manufacturing, post processing, and shipping. Instant estimates generated on our website are provided for planning purposes only and are based on the geometry and settings you submit at the time of upload. Final pricing is confirmed after our team reviews your file, materials, quantities, and any special requirements, and may differ from the instant estimate.

3. Customer Files and Intellectual Property

You retain all right, title, and interest in and to the CAD files, designs, and other materials you upload to Additiv3 ("Customer Files"). We use Customer Files solely to generate quotes, produce your order, and provide related customer support. We do not use Customer Files for any other purpose, and we do not share Customer Files with third parties except as needed to fulfill your order, for example a manufacturing partner or shipping carrier, or as required by law. We treat all Customer Files as confidential.

4. Order Acceptance and Payment

An order is not confirmed until Additiv3 has reviewed the submitted files and quote details and issued a final price and turnaround estimate. We reserve the right to decline any order, including orders that are not technically feasible, that raise intellectual property or legality concerns, or that exceed our current capacity. Payment is due upon your approval of the final quote, unless other terms have been agreed to in writing. Production begins after payment is received.

5. Manufacturing Tolerances and Materials

Parts are produced to commercially reasonable tolerances appropriate to the selected process and material. Dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and material properties vary by process, for example FDM or SLA, material selection, part geometry, and orientation. Published material data reflects typical properties and is not a guarantee of performance for any specific application. It is the customer's responsibility to confirm that a selected material and process are suitable for the intended use.

6. Shipping and Turnaround

Turnaround times and shipping estimates provided at quote or order confirmation are estimates, not guarantees. Actual production and shipping times may vary due to order volume, material availability, part complexity, or carrier delays. Additiv3 is not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control.

7. Returns and Remakes

Because parts are manufactured to your specifications, orders are generally non-returnable. If a part is defective, does not match the confirmed specifications, or was produced in error by Additiv3, we will, at our discretion, remake the part or issue a refund for the affected portion of the order. Claims must be submitted within a reasonable time after delivery, and we may request photos or the return of the part to evaluate the claim.

8. Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Except as expressly stated in these terms, Additiv3 makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the service, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Additiv3's total liability arising out of or relating to an order is limited to the amount paid for that order, and Additiv3 is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

9. Prohibited Uses

You may not upload or request production of designs that infringe the intellectual property rights of others, that are unlawful, or that are intended to produce weapons, controlled items, or other products prohibited by applicable law. By submitting a design, you represent and warrant that you own the design or otherwise have the necessary rights to submit it for production.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of these terms or the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Contact
